Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Depart at 9 am towards the village of Aït Ben Haddou. Its kasbah, one of the most beautiful, authentic, and well-preserved in the South Moroccan region, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Travel through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas. After arriving at your accommodation, rest before visiting the site and enjoying a traditional regional dinner in the evening.
Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou – Agdz – Zagora After breakfast, take the route of a thousand Kasbahs towards Zagora. Discover the Kasbah of Tifoultoute, once owned by the Pasha of Marrakech Thami El Glaoui, and a film location for “Lawrence of Arabia.” Pass through Aït Saoun, Agdz, and Tinzouline before reaching Zagora. Enjoy a camel ride and a magnificent desert sunset. Dinner will be served at your accommodation.
Day 3: Zagora – Alnif – Merzouga After breakfast, head towards Erfoud via Taghbalt, Tazzarine, Alnif, and Rissani. Spend the night in a camp under a tent, experiencing the life of Sahara nomads.
Day 4: Merzouga – Boumalne Dadès Early morning wake-up for a camel ride to the Erg Chebbi dunes (250 m) to watch a beautiful sunrise over the sand waves. Return to the camp for a Moroccan breakfast and then depart for Boumalne Dadès, at the edge of the Dadès Valley, near the Rose and Todra Valleys. Discover the Dadès Valley, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorges, with their high limestone cliffs carved by the Todra River. Dinner and overnight stay in Boumalne Dadès.
Day 5: Boumalne Dadès – Ouarzazate After breakfast, head towards Ouarzazate, discovering the beautiful Rose Valley of Kalaa M’gouna, villages, ancient fortresses along the route of a thousand Kasbahs, and the palm grove of Skoura. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, have lunch and explore the city, its authentic souk, and the famous Taourirt Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Cla and Atlas Corporation studios to see some famous film sets. Dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech After a journey filled with memories and adventures, it’s time to return to Marrakech. Have breakfast, enjoy some free time before hitting the road, and arrive in Marrakech late afternoon.
