ouzoud waterfalls

Ouzoud Waterfalls: 170 km from Marrakech is one of the most beautiful sites in the Middle Atlas, where sumptuous waterfalls, haloed by an almost permanent rainbow, rush from a height of 110 m into a basin of limestone rocks in the middle of lush vegetation. It is possible to swim at the foot of the waterfalls, accessible by a shaded path strewn with olive trees.

At the top of the waterfall, a stone’s throw from the impressive chasm, there are a dozen small ancient grain mills, still in operation thanks to the water from the torrent. At dusk, you can observe entire families of monkeys rowding in the carob trees, these large trees with tasty fruits that they love. Around a hundred macaques, with beige hair and eyes surrounded by a black line, have indeed taken up residence in the caves of the cliffs.
